Andy McGuire

Andy McGuire brings over 20 years of experience helping businesses solidify their product and solution strategies, clarify go-to-market plans and capture new revenue. Andy’s expertise spans product marketing & management, sales & business development, channel program creation, professional services solution delivery and strategic consulting. Since starting his career as an engineer working in the space program (NASA), Andy has worked with IBM Global Services and multiple venture-funded companies serving enterprise IT, food distribution and healthcare market segments. Andy is a versatile leader with a unique mix of technical and business skills, and the ability to quickly analyze issues and affect positive solutions.
Andy came to Mereo after building new sales teams at a cybersecurity SaaS company and a tech-enabled food distributor. His responsibilities spanned from strategy development, recruiting and revenue enablement to revenue operations and field management. Most recently Andy built sales development and solution delivery teams for multiple organizations developing healthcare-focused Web3 technologies.
Previously, Andy founded Cereus Solutions, a boutique business consultancy, that supported enterprise IT solution providers and value-added resellers to develop product / solution strategies, strategic alliances, tactical marketing and sales programs. Cereus focused on assisting emerging businesses in market entry and revenue generation.
Andy has worked with several enterprise software companies and solution providers in the development and implementation of direct and indirect sales programs. Andy has directed programs from the ground-up, built sales teams and successfully negotiated indirect channel alliances.
During his tenure as the Senior Director of Business Development at Aprisma (now Computer Associates), Andy developed the worldwide partner program for this network service assurance and security management software vendor. Andy successfully transformed an opportunistic and technology-focused sales strategy into one that leveraged solution-set based alliances and channels to deliver predictable indirect revenue streams. Key alliances for Aprisma included Accenture, CGE&Y, Sun PS, Cisco, VeriSign, Extreme Networks and Juniper Networks.
Throughout his career Andy has remained involved in technical solution development and service delivery, where responsibilities have included developing enterprise product and technology strategies; providing program / project management and technical leadership in the delivery of large complex software solutions and IT systems; and performing market analysis and business case development.
Andy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University and a Master of Science degree in Engineering from University of Houston – Clear Lake.
