Scott Lewis is a successful product marketing and management leader with a proven track record spanning more than 30 years in launching major global programs and solutions for high-tech software and services companies. Scott has supported a range of B2B organizations — from zero-revenue start-ups to publicly traded, billion-dollar global organizations. He has a passion for delivering competitive, differentiated, mission-critical products and services to market in fast-paced, dynamic environments. He excels in market assessment, product and market strategy, product marketing, product management, product launch, messaging and revenue enablement. Scott has shared this expertise with cloud services, enterprise software, security software, SaaS product marketing and management teams at Avanade, Axway, ENDFORCE, IBM, MCI, SmartPipes, Sophos and UUNET.
Most recently, Scott served as the VP of Global Product Marketing at Axway. He leveraged past cloud and SaaS experiences to lead an international team of product marketers and revenue enablement experts through Axway’s successful transition from a traditional license software company to a subscription-based SaaS software and cloud solutions. Scott engaged closely with Mereo during this time to evolve revenue enablement and product marketing programs from a product-focused approach to a value selling focus — resulting in a significant increase in marketing and sales success.
While at Avanade, Scott was responsible for creating and executing the marketing strategy for the $300M+ cloud market unit. As Senior Director of Cloud Services Marketing, he created and validated the marketing strategy by working closely with Avanade executives, sales and industry analysts. He also led a team in the creation of strategic global campaigns and solution-focused revenue enablement, resulting in both marketing and sales exceeding all targets.
Prior to Avanade, Scott led product management and product marketing for both small and global organizations in various product and solution disciplines, including cloud, SaaS, managed services, security software and integration software.
Scott earned his MBA and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Dayton with a minor in mathematics. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Honor Society recognizing business excellence. In his spare time, Scott is an avid DIYer, gardener and hiking enthusiast, who also enjoys hitting the road on his bike.
