Steve Maegdlin


Steve Maegdlin is a seasoned senior executive with over 25 years of experience working within and as a consultant to a broad range of global organizations, including Comdisco, Keane, J.D. Edwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Exelis (now Harris Corporation), Kratos, Navistar, Pulte Group and Cornell University. Throughout his career Steve has a proven track record of driving revenue performance and business results. Steve has a particular passion for uniting marketing and sales to drive strategic growth.

Prior to joining Mereo, Steve held a variety of executive roles, including chief executive officer, chief marketing officer, senior vice president and vice president of product and industry marketing. Steve has founded and run a number of companies and has directed and led a number of mergers and acquisitions. While at J.D. Edwards, Steve pioneered a strategic revenue delivery process that directly resulted in a $400 million increase in revenues over two years and significantly increased the purchase price of the company. As CMO of several software companies, Steve built and implemented demand generation strategies and strategic go-to-market tools that equipped sales teams to increase revenues by 50% year-over-year. And, as CEO of his own strategic brand and marketing company, Steve was directly responsible for growing the business by 300% in the first two years, and was personally responsible for 85% of top line sales. During his tenure, the company never took on debt and never had an unprofitable quarter.

During his 15 years in the high-tech/software industry, Steve led global corporate strategy, global product marketing and product management, global industry marketing, demand generation, go-to-market, revenue enablement and strategic branding and positioning for four different companies. Steve also held positions of Director of IT and Director of Corporate Reengineering, and has spent a number of years in operations and finance roles. These experiences, combined with an eye and a passion for driving sales results has equipped him for working with all types of clients at Mereo.

Steve earned a Masters of Business Administration from DePaul University in Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in business management and administration from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Steve currently sits on the board of directors for a number of non-profit organizations.
